Walking, The Kintyre Way
There are many walks of all lengths in this great area. However the longest signed walk is the Kintyre Way. Visit this informative website to get an idea of the beauty of the general area, even if you are not intending to walk the length of this great way.

Walk from Barfad to Tarbert and then up to the fascinating ruins of Tarbert Castle with its fine views across Loch Fyne to the Cowal Peninsula

Kilmartin Museum and Kilmartin Glen

Kilmartin Museaum and Kilmartin Glen is situated about 40 minutes or less from Barfad. The whole of the Kilmartin area is famous for its historic standing stones, burial mounds and more. We would highly recommend a visit to the museum and the surrounding historic sites.
